Tax Refund Pension
Question: What tax form do I need to fill out to get a Tax Refund on my 1099 R (my only income this year)?
I have been abroad this year and the only earned income I got was a pay out of $500 from a pension plan from my previous job. I paid tax on this amount and want to get the tax back. Could I fill out a regular 1040EZ and say this 1099R form is my W2?
Answer: No.
You need a 1040A or 1040.
