Question: Can a thyroid produce hormones after radioactive iodine treatment?
I had the treatment several years ago and was fine for awhile. I am on levothyroxin and I am tested once a year. But it seem that my symptoms are returning. Rapid and hard heartbeat, hungry all time, tired, joints hurt etc.

They expect some existing function after treatment.
Hypothyroidism is expected after treatment, but they go on as if they expect the thyroid to still function a little.
You say “my symptoms are returning” so I am assuming that you got the treatment for HYPERthyroid and not for cancer.
Go the doctor, I bet your TSH levels are in the toilet, begging for the thyroid to stop. I have HYPOthyroid, and I still get my blood taken every 3-4 months, and it fluctuates a little.
I mentioned to another doctor that I started exercising, and he asked if my need for thyroid went down.
He gave me the impression that if you start to exercise, it’s a natural stimulant for the thyroid to kick in.
Have you started any exercise programs this year?

Question: no sharing on joint return Tax Refund check?
we filed a joint return in january, and now my wife wants to cash in the $1000 Tax Refund Check and keep it for herself (not for our payment bills). my question: would she be able to cash it in for herself?
Answer: If the check is made out like this :
Jane Doe/ John Doe …then you both are needing to sign the back of the check
IF the check is made out this way:Jane Doe or John Doe … then either 1 can sign it and cash it w/ out the other knowing.
That’s is selfish of her to think this way. Maybe you both should seat down and meet half way on it. LIke you can take this much & I can take this amount to spend it on what ever. Even if it’s just a little bit.
