Income Tax Filing Date Extended

Question: is it true that income tax dead line is extended here in canada?
I’m from Manitoba, Canada. Someone said that because of the flood, we have extension on the income tax filing date. Is it just a hoax or it’s true? Thank you!
Answer: True.
“Taxpayers affected by flooding in Manitoba will have until June 1, 2009, to file their 2008 personal income tax returns.”
