File Tax Id Number

Question: Getting a tax id for income from last year?
I do not have a tax id number. I just starting selling handpoured candles but I’m not really making much money at it. Is it too late to get a tax id and file for income and expenses from last year? Right now the expenses outweigh the income by far. Do I have to get a tax id if I never make a profit (it’s more of a hobby than a business)?
Answer: You do not need to get a GST tax number if you make less than $30,000 in a year. If you just got started, I doubt you made that much.
