Tax Refund Direct Deposit

Tax Refund Direct Deposit

Question: can i get my direct deposit Tax Refund earlier than the irs payment schedule?

I was just wondering if it is possible or if the irs direct deposits everyones money on that day..http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf
has anyone got there direct deposit earlier than the dates its specifies?
Please only answer if you have personaly experienced this!!!

Answer: It is possible to receive the direct deposit early. Last year I was told my direct deposit would be done on a friday a few weeks away. But it showed up in my account exactly a week earlier. I did my taxes on a monday and at the end of that same week I had the refund money in my account.

I would not hold this to be the norm though. If you research other questions here, many people seem to receive the refunds at intervals that don’t make sense (early and late).

My personal assumption this year was that they stated the 30th as the first day for direct deposits, but they will make an attempt this week just so they know the system is working properly … Here’s Hoping that is the case …

Income Tax Filing Online In India

Question: How to file tax returns in india online?

I live in Chicago USA and have an ICICI NRO account. ICICI pays good interest on this account. The only problem is that they deduct tax on whatever interest they pay.

Since I live in US and settled here, I have no income in India except this few thousand Rupees of interest. So, if I file tax returns, I will not be liable to any taxes. Does that mean that I will get back all this tax deducted at source (TDS) if I file tax returns?

How hard is it to file taxes? Can it be done online? I have a PAN number. I never used it though. I have not worked in India ever and so never paid taxes there. So, pardon my ignorance. Can this all be done online? If yes, then what is the effort and cost involved.

Thanks so much
My question was where to file? what is the site?

Answer: A non resident is liable to tax in respect of income received or deemed to be received in India by or on his behalf and income that accrues or arises or is deemed to accrue or arise in India during the previous year.

for the year 2006-07, no income tax is payable if it does not exceeds 1.00 lac.

now you can file return on line. you need digital signature to file return. you dont need to spend any money except digital signature. around US 100.

Efile Tax Refund Schedule

Question: Is the IRS going to start issuing tax refunds on January 23rd?

I know their website says the first ones go out on January 30th, but I heard that in the past they’ve always started about a week earlier than scheduled. Does anyone know if this is true?

Also, on efile.com they have a schedule saying that if you filed by January 16th, you can expect your direct deposit by January 26th (which is a Monday) – which is also a different date than the IRS schedule. Any truth to this rumor?

Thanks for your help, and good luck to everyone waiting for their refunds!!

Answer: I did taxes last year and they did have a habit of depositing earlier. I checked with the IRS on Monday and was told that the deposits can start as early as the 26th depending on when you e-filed. So it is possible and more over probable to expect early deposits. The IRS use to only deposit/mail checks out on Fridays, or so i was told, but as of the last few years, they have started a random deposit. Wedensdays and Fridays were done last year. Good luck to you too.
