Question: Where can I get an extension form for filing taxes?

And if I don’t have the money to pay my taxes before the extension does that mean I can’t file for it and just sit here without paying my taxes?

Answer: Go to irs.com and print out an extension form 4858, send it today April with a good faith estimate. If you cannot pay, the gov will fine you, etc, and set up a payment plan

OR if your taxes are done, send them in today April 15, even without the payment to avoid some penalties. then line 2 above.
