Question: Tax Refund from ‘refund.alert.hm@hmrc.gov.uk’?
Any ideas that there is really a tax refund in UK ?
Recently, I have received several emails from ‘refund.alert.hm@hmrc.gov.uk’. However I have a feeling that they are scam emails, so I have not clicked on the link that they provided.
I have copied in the message:-
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity, we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of 988.50 GBP. Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 2-3 days in order to process it.
Click Here To Have your Tax Refund In Your Bank Account In Next 2-3 days in order to process it And Take Your Time To Submit The Details Needed …Note : A refund can be delayed a variety of reasons, for example submitting invalid records or applying after deadline.

Answer: This is one of a number of emails doing the rounds. Report it to HMRC via their website

Whatever you do, do not open the email nor fill in any personal information.
