Tax File Number Declaration
Question: Tax File Number at KFC in Australia?
I got hired at KFC. Today i went to collect my uniform and some other paperwork and there was a sheetor a tax file number declaration. I dont have a tax file number yet so would i get one at KFC or have to apply and can i start work if i dont have one?
Answer: Tell your employer (KFC) that you don’t have a Tax File Number yet (just so they know), you will have to get one yourself.

It’s a bit of a pain but you need to do it straight away, otherwise you get taxed HEAPS! Also, if you are still at school ask one of your teachers, sometimes you can get one through school.
