Tax Refund For Visitors To Canada.

Question: Does Canada still give visitors tax refunds for things like accomodation and goods?

E.g. GST, PST (for Ontario)…

I know they used to if you sent in the claim form along with your receipts, but I’m getting conflicting info on whether or not they still do.

Answer: Visitors used to be able to claim back any GST (goods and services tax) paid when they were leaving the country, but that was stopped a couple years back. So, sorry, there are no longer refunds available.

By the way, you were never able to claim back the PST (provincial sales tax).
