Filing Taxes Without 1099

Question: Can I file my taxes without my ?
1099? I have quite a bit in an IRA Roth account. Will not filing it result in a penalty? Can I just put down what’s in my IRA account?
I forgot to add… do I have to file my 401k as well?Answer: If you know the correct amount that will be on your 1099s you don’t need them in hand to prepare your tax return unless taxes were withheld by the payer.
Roth IRA contributions have no tax consequences and are not reported on your tax return as long as you did not make any excess contributions.
Your 401(k) contributions are already deducted from your wages in box 1 of your W-2. They are not reported on your tax return unless you are claiming the Saver’s Credit.
