Question: Are you familiar with this spam ?

Today I got this in email;
Internal Revenue Service Attachments Tax Refund form (TFN): 5 3 9 8 1 1 6 4 7 Sun

I made an attempt to open the mail, but it failed to open. Then I decided to do a search on the info I received, and it said do not open it.
Since it did not open on my computer, should my computer by safe, or was the attempt to open enough to get me in trouble?

jj~

Answer: Yes – this is a con trick because the Inland Revenue NEVER, EVER contact people by email. Just in case you have been compromised, change your password access to any/all banking details.

I know this because I work for the Police (U.K.) and this is a recent spam.

Bogus e-mails offer easy IRS returns

It’s tax season, and the Internal Revenue Service might not bethe only one trying to collect.
