Question: Do other countries besides the USA have to file Taxes?
I know that other countries have higher taxes on stuff they buy, but do they have to file taxes once a year?

In some countries, the UK for example, has a system where by workers have the taxes taken from their wages by their employers weekly or monthly, they call it P.A.Y.E, pay as you earn. The system then allows for the refund of any over payment at the end of the tax year.But if the workers are self employed or their wages fluctuate month to month or year by year, then those people have to file a return annually. Several countries world wide use that system making it easier for folks to pay the taxes without any nasty surprises at the end of the year.
