Question: Is it a good idea to File Taxes Online?
Is it bascially the same as going into an office to get these filed? I’m 23, married with a 5 year old son. Very basic tax return since I do not own a house or anything. Would I receive just as much filing online or is it best to go into an office??
Answer: I use turbo tax each year and it works great. It’s very easy, leads you thru everything and even points out some deductions I might not have thought of (and which the H & R Block guy never thought of when we had taxes done with them previously). It’s not as expensive as going into a place either, and you can keep your files electronically as well as print them out. If you use the bank deposit refund option, you’ll have your refund really quickly (it took only 14 days last year for us to get our refund from both feds and state).
