Answer: Because taking it from paychecks is imprecise. Many people don’t realize that you can set your W4 so that you will just about break even at tax time. Some people actually like getting a big refund at tax time…..no realizing that they could have had that money on their paychecks all year long.
Besides, there are many other forms of income besides paychecks.
