Question: Economic Stimulus and filing Income Tax?
I have already filed my federal income tax. I mailed it a couple of days ago. I don’t believe I filled out anything on the 1040 regarding the stimulus because it has yet to be approved. My question is: Will the IRS figure out how much of a rebate from the stimulus package I deserve and just mail it to me, or will I need to submit some additional tax forms? Thank you.
Answer: You don’t need to fill out anything extra re the rebate. If you filed a 2007 tax return and you qualify, you’ll get it automatically.
