Question: I notice I sent out the wrong W-2 forms when I filed my Federal income tax?

I notice I sent out the wrong W-2 forms when I filed my Federal income tax. Are there consequences for sending the wrong form? Does it matter which one you sent out. All the forms have the same numbers. I never notice that each W-2 form has to go to a certain place. Please Help.




Answer: If you mean you sent copy “C” to the feds instead of copy B,,
don’t worry about it
there are no consequences
it doesn’t matter if all numbers are the same
