File Tax Number
Question: How do I get a tax file number to work in Australia?
Apparently to get a job in Oz you need a tax file number and an Australian bank account. How do I go about getting these? I don’t want to go through a company who will wack a load of charges on doing it for me.
Is there a way of setting it all up without a permanent address?!

Answer: first you need a visa to work here, then go to the Australian tax office to have a number issued to you, they only give it once & it is yours for life, but no fixed address no bank account, also not a resident/long term stay in Australia, no bank account
